Definition: extreme disgust and hatred, abhorrence, detestation, loathing; anything hateful or shamefully vile

In Old Testament most frequently refers to misuse of sexuality; to having other gods – idolatry, human sacrifice; and occult practices.

Leviticus 11 it is an abomination to eat unclean animals

Leviticus 18 homosexual, incest, child sacrifice, bestiality

7:25,26 take the silver or gold of an idol

17:1 sacrifice a blemished animal

18:9 practice of burning children as a sacrifice, practice divination, soothsaying;
